Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on StewardView or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using StewardView on behalf of an organization (e.g., a church), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
StewardView is operated by Sagaciasoft LLC. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sagaciasoft LLC.
2. Description of Service
StewardView is a cloud-based financial management platform designed for churches and religious organizations. The platform enables organizations to track giving, manage funds and budgets, generate financial reports, manage bank accounts, and import bank transactions from CSV files.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service with reasonable notice.
3. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Accounts may not be shared. Each user must have their own individual account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use StewardView.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Access to StewardView requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis. Billing is processed through Stripe, Inc.
- Free trial: Where offered, the free trial period is specified at sign-up. Your subscription begins at the end of the trial unless canceled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the application or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- Failed payments: If a payment fails, access to the platform may be suspended. We will notify you by email and provide a grace period to update your payment method.
5. Bank Accounts and CSV Imports
StewardView enables authorized users to add bank accounts and import transaction data from CSV files exported from online banking. By importing bank data:
- You represent that you are authorized to upload the financial records for your organization.
- You are responsible for reviewing imported transactions for accuracy, categorization, and fund assignment.
- StewardView does not request or store online banking usernames or passwords.
- You may remove a bank account from active use at any time. Historical transaction records are retained for financial accountability.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use StewardView to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Enter fraudulent, misleading, or inaccurate financial data
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any other organization's data or to the underlying systems
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our platform without written authorization
- Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
7. Data Ownership
You and your organization own your data. StewardView does not claim ownership of the financial records, transaction data, or any other content you enter into the platform.
By using StewardView, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You may export your data at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon account cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days to allow export before permanent deletion.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Have been inactive for more than 12 consecutive months without an active paid subscription
- Are associated with fraudulent activity
- Have failed payments that remain unresolved after reasonable notice
In the event of termination for cause, we may permanently delete your data without the standard 90-day retention window.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
StewardView is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You are responsible for reviewing imported or entered financial data for accuracy.
StewardView is a financial management tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the platform constitutes accounting, tax, or legal advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sagaciasoft LLC and its personnel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits, arising from your use of StewardView.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of StewardView after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
